Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

While the idea of healing with invisible energy fields can make some people smirk or feel uncomfortable, in reality, we interact with invisible energies on a daily basis. From the moment we wake up and heat our breakfast in our microwave, check the weather forecast on our cell phone, read our email via wireless internet and listen to the radio on the way to work, we are constantly interacting with invisible energy.

We are also surrounded by naturally-occurring “invisible energy,” which science has “discovered” by developing technology to measure these energies. Of course, these natural invisible energies existed before scientists created the tools to measure them, and as scientific technology advances, new discoveries are being made. For example: magnetism, radiation, and the non-visible light spectrum.

In addition to man-made and naturally occurring energy in our environment, we understand that our bodies have an energetic quality, too. Consider the energy of the brain, which is confirmed by the use of an EEG. These different frequencies of energy correspond to different levels of consciousness:

• Beta (30-13 Hz) – ordinary consciousness and linear thinking
• Alpha (13-8 Hz) – deep relaxation
• Theta (8-3.5 Hz) – dreaming and creativity
• Delta (3.5-0.5 Hz) – deepest states of restorative sleep
• Gamma (30-85 Hz) – expanded consciousness, deepened compassion and heightened self-awareness

The heart is an energetic organ as well, as demonstrated by the EKG. In fact, if you put two heart cells together in a laboratory dish, they will communicate with each other and begin beating at the same rate. The cells in our skin are energetic receptors to a number of different frequencies, including infrared (heat) and UV (melanin production). Our ears receive “invisible energy” in the form of sound. Our throats are naturally occurring “invisible energy” projectors.

Every day, we interact with all these invisible energies without even thinking twice about it. So next time you say, “I have to see it to believe it,” maybe think again.
